BEFORE you roam around the Queen City of the South, it’s good to familiarize first the places it has and the ways to go elsewhere. Found below are the complete lists of the divisions of Cebu and the different means of transportation in the province.
TRANSPORTATION
There are various ways in going to the different places in Cebu. Whether by land or by sea, Cebu has a unique way or making you enjoy the moment as you ride yourself to your destination.
LAND
- Auto / Limo Rentals – it is the most comfortable way to get around the islands.
- Taxi Cab – these can be spotted in almost every major thoroughfare in the city
-Bus – the cheapest means of transportaion around Cebu if you are going to cover long distances
Jeepney – rub elbows with the locals in the famous Filipino commuter vehicle; for city trips
-Tricycle – great especially in the trails where accessibility is rather difficult for larger motorized vehicles
- Habal-habal – a quick way to move around cebu. It’s a motorcycle with built-in wooden seats at the sides.
- Tartanilla (horse-drawn cart) – clippety-clop; get a feel of how Cebuanos got around in the times past
SEA
-Banca – (motorized outrigger) – good for island hopping and mostly used in transporting oneself from one island to another
- Boat – a good alternative for going in and out of Cebu when looking for something not situated in the air
- Yacht - a fancy sea transportatio vehicle perfect for comfort and hazzle-free trips
- Ship – a large oceangoing one propelled by sails and or engines
